Americans usually call dip recipes like this as a spinach dip in a bread bowl. In other parts of the world like New Zealand and Australia, they call it the cob loaf. Making variations with this kind of recipe is easy by adding some ingredients like ham or bacon even cheeses and herbs. It can be served as an appetizer in different parties while some folks make a meal out of it.

The Spinach Dip Recipes

Spinach dip recipes just like any other of its kind is easily since most of it only require combining ingredients and not much cooking at all.

large unsliced loaf (rustic or artisan bread)

1 lb spinach (blanched and chopped)

1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup cheese (shredded)

1 cup sour cream

8 oz cream cheese

pcs spring onions (finely chopped)

30g dry onion soup mix

Curry powder to taste

Start by preheating the oven up to 350°F (180°C). Take out a rimmed baking sheet and line it with foil.

Slice off the top of the loaf and use it as a lid later. Make a hole at the center of the bread and set aside the pieces you hollowed out since you can use it as dipping later on.

Drain any excess liquid from the spinach but be sure not to squeeze it too much. Combine the leaves with mayonnaise, sour cream, spring onions, cream cheese, onion soup mix and shredded cheese. Use the curry powder to taste. Place the mixture at the center of the loaf and then cover it well with the lid.

Place the bread in the oven and bake for at least 15 minutes or until the center is hot and melted. Make sure that the bread is baked just right since it may become too crusty and hard. If the center is not hot enough or completely melted, you can place it in the microwave until done.

Use the retained bread pieces you have set aside from the center and add more crackers if you like. Different types of bread can also be used according to your choice.

Benefits in Using Spinach for Dip Recipes

The amount of nutrition a person can get from spinach is amazing. Calcium content of spinach just like any other dark green leafy vegetables helps strengthen your bones. It also contains a generous amount of vitamins A and C including folic acid, magnesium, fiber and a lot more nutrients. It helps control the dreaded cancer and the folate found in it lowers blood level. Memory loss can also be avoided with enough intake of this vegetable and lutein will help you protect your eyes from cataracts and other degenerating diseases that can cause blindness.

With so many benefits you gain from a single vegetable, spinach will really be a great produce for people to have. Frozen spinach may have less nutrients than fresh ones but using it in dip recipes will not have much effect on its nutritional content.

Exciting Almond Dip Recipes for Kids

To start with, show the recipe to your kids and let them gather all the ingredients needed for dip recipes like this.

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 1/2 cups whole almonds, raw

crackers

In large deep skillet, cook bacon over medium high heat until thoroughly cooked and brown. Place in plate lined with paper towel then crumble into small pieces.

Bake the almonds in a sheet making sure that each piece is evenly spread in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes and stir occasionally to prevent burning any almond. After browned, remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

Mix softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill weed, green onions and black pepper in a bowl. Shape the mixture like a pinecone and set on a serving dish.

Starting at the top of the formed pinecone, press the almonds into the cheese and add a few more pine nuts between the overlapping almonds. Serve this with crackers.

In a bowl, mix peanut butter, peanuts, pumpkin, raisins, cinnamon and honey and mix with a wooden spoon. Set aside and chill in a refrigerator before serving. Crush the graham cracker coarsely and use it to sprinkle on top of the dip.

Use the dipping mentioned on top or you can have a different set. Vegetables and crackers are great even fruits if you like. This is perfect for snacks, appetizers even in kid’s lunchboxes even adults.

Breads have been a part of our diet ever since childhood. We enjoy it especially in the morning with a nice hot coffee or milk or during snacks with various spreads making different sandwiches. Dip recipes for bread are perfect especially to those crunchy varieties of bread like baguettes and such. Plain breads are easily prepared for dipping. Some would prefer them as is other would spread a little bit of oil on top of sliced pieces and roast in an oven or toaster.

Dip Recipes for Breads: Herbs and Oil Dip

Herbs go well with oil especially in dip recipes for bread with its flavours intensifying every bite. Gather all the ingredients you need from the list:

1 tbsp fresh minced parsley
1 tbsp fresh minced basil
1 tbsp fresh minced garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp thyme
½ tsp kosher salt
½ cup olive oil

¼ tsp red pepper flakes (crushed)
½ tsp fresh rosemary (minced)
1/8 tsp fresh juice of lemon

Grind everything in a food processor except the lemon juice and oil. Little by little, add the olive oil and lemon juice to the mixture and continue grinding until smooth. Place on a small serving dish together with breads of choice and enjoy.

Dip Recipes for Bread: Tomato and Herb Dip

Tomatoes can complement well any type of bread giving it that sweet chunky taste and adds more texture to the dish. Below are the ingredients you will need:

¼ cup olive oil
1/8 tsp dried rosemary
1/8 tsp dried basil
1/8 tsp dried thyme
1/8 tsp finely minced garlic
½ tsp sun-dried tomato paste
1 pinch salt (optional)
Black pepper (to taste)

Mix sun dried tomato paste and olive oil in a bowl and mix well. Crush basil, thyme and rosemary by hand or slightly with a mortar and pestle but make sure you don’t overdo it. Add the herbs to the mixture then garlic and pepper. Season with salt if desired and adjust according to taste. Mix all the ingredients together until fully incorporated with each other then set aside in room temperature for a couple of hours. This way, you allow all the flavours to blend with each other. If you can’t wait then serve it as soon as you’re done.

Serve this dip with fresh rosemary foccaccia as they would do in some food chain or a French bread. It doesn’t really matter which bread you dip it with as long as you feel like it. Feel free to add a little spice to the dip like some chilli pepper or even chilli sauce. There are a lot of things that you can add to any dip. Fresh vegetables will also do you good.

You can be as healthy as you want with any recipe. Using fresh ingredients is always the best way to go aside from some recipes that would require you to use dried herbs. If you still insist on using fresh ones, you can do so just add three times as much of the dried herb to your dip recipes.

Dip Recipes are abundant anywhere and can sometimes be a little bit too common to a person’s taste. A little variety every once in a while can turn the boring into something a little bit more exciting. Have a little change with the taste or texture and you’ll find yourself more and more into dips than ever before.

Unique Dip Recipes: Spiced Marmalade Soy Dip

This unique Dip Recipes can spice up your taste buds and is great when paired with seafood like crabs, lobsters, squid and shrimp.

¼ cup lime juice

¼ cup soy sauce

1 tsp cornstarch

1/8 tsp ginger (grated)

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

1 tbsp cold water

1/3 cup orange marmalade

1 clove garlic (minced)

Combine cornstarch and cold water then set aside. In a small heavy saucepan, place garlic, ginger, pepper flakes, soy sauce, lime juice and orange marmalade. Boil then let simmer until thickened before removing from heat.

Unique Dip Recipes: Spider’s Net Dip

Celebrate the Halloween with this nice dip.

1 ½ cup sour cream

½ cup fresh chunky salsa

1 cup guacamole

8 oz cream cheese

16 oz black refried beans

12 oz Mexican cheese (shredded)

15 oz whole black beans (drained)

1.25 oz taco seasoning mix

2.25 oz chopped black olives

Mix cream cheese, taco seasoning and sour cream in a small bowl then set aside until needed. On a serving dish, place refried beans at the bottom then spread a layer of cheese. Heat in the microwave until cheese melts and place the salsa over the cheese and a layer of olives and sour cream mixture over it before placing a different layer with guacamole.

Spoon medium sized dollop of sour cream at the center to decorate the top creating the spider’s nest. The rest of the sour cream goes into a Ziploc bag. Use it as a pipe by cutting a piece of the edge at the bottom corner then pipe circles around the perimeter. Create as much circles as you can making sure that you have space in between. Use any stick or knife to drag a line of the sour cream creating a spiderweb toward the edge of the dish. Complete this design by repeating the same process until it resembles the intended design. Finish the dish with whole black beans on the sour cream.

Add a little bit more decoration with plastic spiders or how about other Halloween items on the dip. It would be a drag though since you’ll be dipping some tacos and ruin the design but at least you have prepared something that is pleasing to the eyes and at the same time filling to the tummies.

You can never go wrong by doing a little extra on your work even if it’s only a simple dip. Unique serving like these can be just as beautiful and presentable as your main dishes so long as you go artistic with your Dip Recipes.

Cravings for mayonnaise aren’t something new. This great tasting spread is great for sandwiches and can blend nicely with different breads. Even in Dip Recipes, the mayonnaise can still be utilized to add more flavor to an assortment of dipping.

Varieties of Mayo Dip Recipes

Mayo-Curry Dip:

½ tsp curry powder

½ cup mayonnaise

½ cup pineapple (apricot preserves can be used to substitute)

Preparation is simple for dip recipes like this, just mix all ingredients in a bowl and serve with any dipping you have in mind. Make sure that you add enough amount of curry adjusting its strength to your taste.

Mayonnaise and Garlic Dip:

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup green onion (finely chopped)

2 cups mayonnaise

1 tbsp garlic (minced)

In a mixing bowl, place garlic, green onion tops and bottoms with oil. Little by little, add the mayonnaise then blend it well until the mayonnaise and oil are mixed perfectly. Cover the bowl and chill before serving. Asparagus, red bell pepper, broccoli even roast beef and turkey is best served with this dip.

Smoked Chili Mayonnaise:

1 clove garlic (minced)

1 chipotle pepper (seeded and chopped)

½ cup mayonnaise

2 tsp adobo sauce (optional)

1 pc lime (juiced)

1 pinch salt

Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor until everything is thoroughly mixed. Transfer to a plate and serve with any dipping you like. Try substituting the mayonnaise with sour cream for a different variation.

Chip Dip:

1 tbsp milk

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

3 tbsp onions (chopped)

1 ½ tbsp mayonnaise

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl making sure that everything is well incorporated. This dip is great for fries and other fried items like vegetables. Fish is greatly complemented by mayonnaise so this dip can be a great accompaniment. You just need to make sure that the mayo does not turn runny.

Notes on Mayo Dip Recipes

There are a lot of things that you need to consider when dealing with mayonnaise. One of which is the fact that it is made from egg and can that can easily be contaminated. If you can make the mayo on your own then it would be best to do so but it would take a lot of effort. This product when exposed to humid and hot environment can turn bad and even be toxic to anyone who ingests it. Make sure that you at least keep it on a container that would hold a cool temperature when served.

Mayonnaise is easily remedied once it gets runny. The only thing you need to do is add a little bit more mayo then blend or whisk it until it becomes fluffy all over again. It can be easily varied with bits of other items like meat to give a different taste and texture as well. Mayo Dip Recipes are perfect for any type of dipping with your imagination as its limit.

Drain the fat and add the taco seasoning and water. Wait until it boils. Let it cook for 5 minutes and stir occasionally. Then place the ground beef mixture into a slow cooker. Add the tomatoes and cheese and left it in there of an hour. Serve with your favorite tacos and vegetables.

To make one, you need a 2 package of cream cheese, ¼ cup of milk, 1 and a half teaspoon of anchovy paste, 3 tablespoons of grated onion and 1 pinch of garlic powder. The preparation is quite simple, in a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and milk, mix until creamy. Add more milk for a thinner dip as desired. Using a fork, whip the anchovy paste onion and garlic powder into the mixture until it is evenly mixed. Refrigerate the dip at least an hour before serving with your favorite chips.

Dip Recipes: Chili on my Cheese

Heat the mixture until the cheese is melted. Serve this with your favorite tortilla chips.
